The roll measures 18" by 6' for $6.49, pretty good deal.
I pieced pieces together and covered two doors on a cabinet we have and I still have a ton left over.
It draws, looks and cleans like a real chalkboard
and the kids love drawing on it.
I'm trying to figure out what to do with the rest. I'm thinking of putting some on the inside of my pantry door for a grocery list when I run out of things.
I combined the scrap Con-Tact paper from the doors with an old photo frame to get this.
This has been handy to leave messages for my husband where I'm sure he can't miss them!
But I still have a few feet left of this Con-Tact paper. Before I use it, do you have any creative suggestions for me?
You could use it as a "check off" board for chores or what to have in hand before walking out the door (either for kids OR grown-ups!) I like your idea! Beats Hannah writing her name and doodles with a permanent mark on the painted desk we have downstairs. Not a family heirloom, but it's still irritating!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen this stuff before but I sure do like the looks of it. Do you have another frame or something small you could use in the car? OH, could you use a small thin piece of wood (cover that in the contact paper) and then make a fabric cover to carry it and the chalk? Then the kids could take it in the car when you are out and about.
