The high school football field is only two blocks from our house.
Although our town is pretty darn quiet it isn't on Friday nights in the fall and we can hear all the details of the football game at our house.
But now it's the end of winter and the field is silent just waiting for track season to begin.

Now I have Simon and Garfunkle's "Sounds of Silence" playing in my head. From a retired/former teacher's perspective, nothing says quiet like an empty space at school. The old abandoned schools kind of make me sad, but I swear if you listen closely, you can still hear the laughter and tromping of children up and down the halls. Nice!
ReplyDeleteI like the 2nd picture. Looks like it would be a great place to go sit and think things through. . .in the quiet. Something I could use a little of right now.
