We have a huge pile of pinecones in our front yard from our tree. I've been thinking ever since we moved here that there must be something we could do with them. While waiting in the dentist's office last week Yip found a great idea in a Highlights magazine. We could decorate them as trolls. Great, just in time for Halloween! I'm not a big seasonal decorator myself but if the boys want to I'm all for it.
After the dentist we stopped into Hobby Lobby where the boys picked out google eyes, pipe cleaners and pom poms. Along with our giant craft box of felt, feathers and hot glue we created quite a trollsome group of pinecones.

Then the boys ditched the pinecones and tackled pom pom art.

How cute! I actually don't much care for this upcoming holiday, but I do love fall so I go the way of pumpkins, leaves, and scarecrows. That is I would if I could ever find the top of my dining room table! I'm still trying!
