Photo Thursday - Spring Flowers

I don't consider myself too girly. Those of you who know me are probably shaking your head in agreement. Very rarely do I wear anything pink or flowery or bright. But I love flowers and have been taking pictures of flowers everywhere this spring. So today I'm sharing just a few of my favorite shots. Enjoy.

(Don't forget to check out my book giveaway!)

This one is my favorite. I'm not sure what kind of plant it is. Anyone know?

Violets in the back yard.

I know, not a flower but Yip found this on the back porch and wanted a picture. I just wish I could have gotten it more in focus but I was holding a baby at the time!

  2. Hi Prairie Mom, You have a wonderful eye when it comes to photographic art! I apologize for my tardiness in responding to your comment posted on my blog. Thank you so much for the kind words in your comment, it was very encouraging! You shouldn't be too worried about your daughter growing up to be a "Teen". If you raise her with the Bible and good biblical influences throughout her youth, she won't be attracted to the worldly examples that our culture has set for the youth for today. I pray that she will grow up strong in the Lord and become a faithful young women in her "teen" years. I prefer to use the term Young Woman, rather than teen, the word TEEN has only been around for about 75 years or so. Before then they were just referred to as young adults. If you would like to hear more of my thoughts about "teenagers" here is a post I wrote about the topic on my blog, http://womenofvirtue-abigail.blogspot.com/2009/07/victory-and-talk-about-teenagers.html

    May God bless you!
